Job Summary

Support the main kitchen at a purpose-built dementia care home by assisting chefs with meal plating, food trolley preparation, and keeping prep areas clean and tidy. Help ensure safe food handling by monitoring stock rotation and following mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines. Also assist with catering for special events and act as a key link between the kitchen and residents to create a welcoming dining experience.

•Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
•Assist chefs with plating meals and preparing food trolleys.

•Support catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 13.3 - 14.3 hourly

•Previous experience working in a kitchen.
•Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
•A passion for food and a strong focus on delivering excellent service at each meal.
•Understand and maintain high standards in and around the home to support a pleasant dining experience.
•Comfortable communicating with wider kitchen and care home teams, and enjoying connecting with residents.
