Key Responsibilities

  • •Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals; order parts; and pull data to diagnose issues quickly.
  • •Practice safe job practices when repairing equipment and determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs at the shop and, when required, travel to customer job sites for power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and complete the repairs.
  • •Maintain complete, timely electronic documentation of work performed and assist with training lower-level technicians and pick-up/delivery of equipment & parts as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Ability to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and to read/know schematics.
  • •Strong customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • •EPA 608 certification preferred (able to obtain within 6-12 months); valid driver’s license; safety-sensitive requirements include passing a 10-panel drug screen.
