Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate, deploy and enforce group cyber security policies, standards and controls in China and, where relevant, across the Asia region.
  • •Conduct local cyber risk assessments across IT systems, OT environments and third parties; define remediation plans and monitor execution.
  • •Coordinate local cybersecurity incident response with the global SOC and participate in crisis management committees for major incidents.
  • •Act as the registered China DPO with the CAC online portal where statutory thresholds are met; maintain accurate DPO filing and serve as contact for regulatory inquiries and inspections.
  • •Oversee personal information protection compliance: governance framework, privacy by design/default, compliance audits, data subject rights requests, and breach assessment/notification/remediation in coordination with Legal, HR, IT and HQ teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Law, Privacy or a related field; advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • •7–10 years of experience in cyber security, information security, risk or compliance roles.
  • •Proven experience in data protection and privacy compliance in China, including hands-on regulatory interactions, inspections and audits with Chinese authorities.
  • •Strong working knowledge of PIPL, DSL, and CSL, plus CAC compliance audit and DPO registration requirements.
  • •Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) and fluent English; role must be physically based in Mainland China.
