Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the electrical design of AC power systems for tunnel boring machines, including medium- and high-voltage distribution, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, drives, motors, protection, and controls interfaces.
  • •Develop electrical engineering deliverables including single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, equipment specifications, and bills of materials.
  • •Perform electrical calculations for equipment sizing, cable sizing, short-circuit, load flow, voltage drop, grounding, and protection coordination.
  • •Select and integrate transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, MCCs, VFDs, motors, and other power-distribution equipment.
  • •Support inspection/testing of completed assemblies, troubleshoot failures, and drive design changes and engineering updates across the product lifecycle.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • •Experience designing AC power systems, preferably medium- and high-voltage distribution for industrial equipment and switchgear/substations or similar manufactured products.
  • •Strong understanding of transformers, switchgear, breakers, protection, MCCs, VFDs, motors, grounding, and electrical distribution.
  • •Experience creating engineering deliverables such as single-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, cable schedules, BOMs, and design calculations.
  • •Experience working closely with manufacturing/production teams to support builds, troubleshoot hardware, and incorporate test/build feedback into designs.
