Key Responsibilities

  • •Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers, including make-vs-buy analysis and demand signal coordination via MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
  • •Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control; collaborate with engineering to interpret requirements.
  • •Create, release, and update new project materials strategy with limited or no supervision.
  • •Manage sourcing and materials activities, including supplier price/delivery negotiations (as allowed), supplier risk assessment, supplier performance monitoring, and specification/price negotiation coordination.
  • •Run materials change control, meet cost objectives, resolve quality issues, generate key process indicators, track landed cost targets, and partner with quality/engineering to mediate supplier quality issues.
