Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage Japan Medical Affairs evidence generation projects (ESRs, Phase 4 studies, database research, PMS) from initiation to closeout, supporting compliance and patient safety.
  • •Educate MA staff on internal/external processes, compliance, and research basics; facilitate feasibility, timelines, and milestone design.
  • •Select and manage CRO/vendors/academic institutions, monitor project status and budgets, report progress/risks, and drive course corrections.
  • •Ensure studies are properly and compliantly closed per relevant SOPs, including tracking deliverables, contracts, and payments.
  • •Liaise with Japan MA team leads and internal/global support functions (e.g., Legal, Purchasing, Compliance, Quality, Accounts Payable) and maintain budget transparency through systems.

Key Requirements

  • •BS degree in a life science or technology discipline.
  • •5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or healthcare.
  • •Good understanding of the medical affairs function in a pharma company.
  • •Project management qualification or demonstrated skills managing scope, budget, timeline, resources, and tools, including cross-functional and vendor management.
  • •Significant user experience with IT systems such as iEnvision and clinical trial management systems, plus excellent English communication.
