Key Responsibilities

•Lead and mentor software engineers designing, developing, and maintaining software for flight and mission simulators.
•Modernize and enhance legacy codebases essential to simulator functionality to improve stability and expand capability.
•Collaborate with hardware, systems engineering, and program management to align software development with program needs.
•Lead projects using Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies and contribute to BOEs, IMPs, and IMS planning.
•Troubleshoot complex issues in real-time or legacy systems to support high-stakes pilot training outcomes.

Salary: USD 153,300 - 169,500

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
•8+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on development in mission critical or real-time systems.
•Minimum 3–5 years leading teams, mentoring engineers, or serving as a technical lead.
•Strong mastery of real-time/embedded or simulation development experience.
•Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. citizenship required.
