Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the sanitation department to ensure live haul and feed units are washed and disinfected based on biosecurity procedures within scheduled turnaround times.
  • •Perform trailer audits, tabulate results, and perform trailer sampling (preferably from audited trailers).
  • •Inspect sanitation equipment, monitor disinfectant use and verify tank concentration, and perform periodic disinfectant calibration and process time audits.
  • •Manage daily operations and budgeted cost for the department, including determining techniques, materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • •Directly supervise sanitation department employees (interviewing, hiring, training, reviewing productivity, setting work hours, managing payroll, handling complaints, and discipline).

Key Requirements

  • •Associate degree from an accredited college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Experience acting as a lead by training, coaching, or mentoring less experienced staff, or by managing a process or project.
  • •Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft software.
  • •Must have a valid state driver’s license.
  • •CDL class A license (preferred).
