Key Responsibilities

  • •Resolve tax notices and discrepancies from federal, state, and local agencies to mitigate penalties and interest.
  • •Review and resolve payroll tax errors, including retroactive tax and gross-to-net withholding calculations.
  • •Process W-2 corrections and reissues in accordance with IRS regulations.
  • •Handle employee tax data issues, including tax data integrity assurance, and provide problem resolution support for tax-related issues.
  • •Perform quarterly and annual tax balancing; support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures and manage payroll tax special projects for process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).
  • •Strong attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • •Knowledge of multi-state and multi-5 payroll tax laws (Canada knowledge preferred).
  • •Tax analyst experience including multistate, localities, and reciprocity.
  • •Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (preferred), plus 5–7 years payroll tax experience or 3+ years experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 2+ years with an advanced degree).
