Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and use real-time data to diagnose root causes and corrective actions.
  • •Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment and maintain complete, timely electronic documentation of work performed.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures in the shop and at customer locations, handling required repairs.
  • •When required, travel to customer job sites to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
  • •Set up and operate equipment at shop and customer sites (individually or with another technician) and assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Own applicable tools for the role and demonstrate advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Have experience maintaining and repairing power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Be able to calculate nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and read schematics.
  • •Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred. EPA 608 certification preferred and obtainable within 6-12 months if not already held.
