Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the definition and development of Supportability, providing engineering leadership and technical capability within the Head of TLS Organisation.
  • •Develop an overall approach to exert Supportability design influence across the GCAP programme and ensure required 6th Generation Supportability characteristics are considered, prioritised and delivered.
  • •Define primary activities required throughout the full product life cycle and ensure technical requirements are designed, developed, delivered and integrated in line with GCAP Architecture and Engineering policies.
  • •Establish and maintain engineering governance, frameworks, plans and processes for Design Influence and Supportability engineering and analysis within the Edgewing organisation to relevant international standards.
  • •Identify, develop and derive customer Supportability plan requirements; manage and review engineering activities to ensure integrated, compliant and safe delivery of work packages meeting cost, quality and schedule objectives while supporting Design for Support, schedules, Statements of Work (SoW) and DAREO requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 54,808 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge and experience leading a sizeable defence activity involving multiple partners, complex requirements and modern methods.
  • •Knowledge and experience in scheduling, planning and risk management activities.
  • •Hold a Bachelor’ Degree in a STEM discipline (preferably aeronautics/aerospace or related) or equivalent experience/qualifications.
  • •Proficient engineering leadership and technical capability to support supportability definition and development.
  • •Ability to establish and maintain engineering governance, frameworks, plans and processes aligned to international standards.
