Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze and design building structures based on applicable Hong Kong Design Standards and Specifications or equivalent BS EN standards.
  • •Perform structural design, analysis calculations, and prepare design reports for foundations and building structures, including piling, footing, superstructures, long-span steel trusses, footbridges, ELS-associated structures, and temporary works.
  • •Develop and review structural plans and specifications.
  • •Use engineering and design software (e.g., ETABS, SADS, SAP2000, SAFE, Prokon) to create engineering design reports.
  • •Coordinate with other disciplines, liaise with the Hong Kong office and stakeholders, and lead/supervise junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • •15+ years of practical experience in structural design for building structures (Infrastructure, plant, and facilities buildings preferred).
  • •Sound knowledge of concrete and steel structural design principles and best practices.
  • •Experience as a building structural engineer (or similar), including work on RCC and steel structures for transport and infrastructure projects.
  • •Chartered Engineer (MIStructE/HKIE(str)) is required, plus proficiency in design software (e.g., ETABS, SADS, SAP2000, SAFE, Prokon).
