Job Summary

Sample asphalt product and coordinate daily/weekly activity to ensure roadway materials meet required tests and specifications. Work with plant personnel, crewmembers, and Department of Transportation inspectors to obtain necessary samples and mix designs. Partner with staff reporting to the Quality Control Manager, support daily production schedules, and maintain safety and ethical standards (including OSHA and PPE). Prepare and submit required quality control documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Sample asphalt product to ensure it meets required tests.
•Coordinate daily/weekly scheduling with management, plant personnel, crewmembers, and Department of Transportation inspectors to obtain samples and mix designs.
•Work with staff reporting to the Quality Control Manager to ensure quality control specifications are met and support daily production schedules/estimates.
•Ensure ethical behavior and safety standards are followed in line with company requirements and OSHA guidelines, including maintaining PPE.
•Read print-outs in the reader box and prepare and submit proper documentation to the appropriate Quality Control personnel.

•Ability to adhere to safety and ethical standards as required by the company and OSHA guidelines, including following PPE policy.
•Ability to lift 50 pounds and pass a drug test and criminal background check.
