Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and develop the R&D team, including hiring, performance management, career development, and building an inclusive, high-performing culture.
  • •Define and execute a phased hiring roadmap aligned with organizational growth and onboarding programs.
  • •Directly manage R&D programs during early growth, including technology evaluations, external partner engagements, feasibility pilots, and cross-functional projects; transition to TPMs as the team scales.
  • •Establish and improve R&D operational processes, including intake workflows, project tracking, resource allocation, reporting cadences, and governance.
  • •Coordinate with engineering teams across Crusoe to ensure R&D delivers value to infrastructure development and deployment.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of direct people management experience, including hiring, performance management, and career development of technical individual contributors; experience building or scaling a team is strongly preferred.
  • •5+ years of technical program or project management experience in infrastructure, manufacturing, data center, or related engineering environments.
  • •Technical Fluency to engage credibly with engineers across data center infrastructure, power systems, cooling, and compute domains.
  • •Demonstrated experience standing up new teams, functions, or organizational capabilities from early stage, with comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (Advanced degree is a plus).
