Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, maintain, and enhance economic life-cycle risk models and tools, including documentation, quality assurance, and quality control.
  • •Analyze model outputs to evaluate and recommend investments supporting near- and long-term reliability goals.
  • •Perform complex life-cycle cost analyses for replacement, rejuvenation, maintenance, and other strategic activities.
  • •Develop and evaluate business cases and portfolio scenarios, quantifying benefits across system/customer reliability, safety, compliance, and operational efficiencies.
  • •Serve as a subject matter expert and contribute to regulatory/compliance filings, including Oregon Public Utilities Commission requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related financial/scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • •Senior: Typically 5+ years in utility or similar energy sector experience in engineering, power operations, economic forecasting, accounting, finance, regulatory affairs, or related areas.
  • •Principal: Typically 8+ years in utility or similar energy sector experience in those same domains or equivalent education/experience.
  • •Advanced knowledge of energy market dynamics, fundamental electricity supply/demand drivers, and risk/valuation techniques for resource alternatives.
  • •Advanced analytical skills in cost-modeling theory and practices, plus intermediate programming and database application experience.
