Job Summary

Drive natural gas origination and commercial growth for ConocoPhillips’ Gulf Coast Gas Trading and Marketing team in Houston. Build and expand relationships with Louisiana and Gulf Coast industrial customers, identify new opportunities across intrastate pipeline and regional markets, and structure/negotiates physical natural gas transactions. Partner with traders, analysts, schedulers, and structured transaction teams to align deals with market conditions, pricing, and portfolio optimization while supporting governance and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with industrial natural gas customers across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.
•Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities with industrial, refining, manufacturing, and energy-sector customers.
•Monitor supply, demand, transportation, and pricing dynamics to identify opportunities and increase market visibility across Louisiana intrastate pipeline systems.
•Structure and negotiate physical natural gas transactions and align them with market conditions, pricing strategies, and portfolio objectives.
•Collaborate with traders, analysts, schedulers, and structured transaction teams, including supporting market analysis, pricing assessments, financial modeling, and commercial governance compliance.

Key Requirements

•Legally authorized to work in the United States.
•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Economics, Finance, Energy Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
•Experience in natural gas marketing, origination, trading, scheduling, commercial operations, or a related energy commercial function.
•Knowledge of physical natural gas markets, transportation, and commercial structures.
•Ability to develop and maintain customer and counterparty relationships with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
