Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build deep learning systems for search ranking, session-based recommendations, and multi-objective personalization.
  • •Make ranking consume geographic context and own recommendation/ranking of pickup points.
  • •Translate business goals into ML objectives, including non-functional requirements, and drive experimental evaluation using offline metrics and online A/B tests.
  • •Partner with backend engineers to take models from prototype to production, including model serving and latency optimization.
  • •Own the ML lifecycle in production: monitor for drift, and build retraining pipelines to maintain quality as data changes.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of machine learning engineering experience, including building and deploying deep learning models in production.
  • •Direct experience with search, NLP, ranking, recommendation, or relevance systems.
  • •Expert proficiency in Python and core data science libraries plus SQL (e.g., PySpark, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch).
  • •Ability to design an ML system end-to-end, from data analysis and processing through to model serving in production.
  • •Experience with MLOps tools and practices to manage the ML model lifecycle and deploy with attention to latency and concept drift.
