Job Summary

Build agentic AI systems that help legal professionals get work done. Design environments and actions for agentic workflows, make model selection and context-window decisions, and develop tools and evals to accelerate iteration. Partner with customers and PMs to define what “excellent” means, optimize agent performance with prompt engineering and tool design, and improve observability to identify bottlenecks and drive low-latency execution.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with customers and PMs to understand legal workflows, design evaluations, and ship agents that get the job done.
•Optimize agent performance using prompt engineering, model selection, tool design, skill writing, context window management, and eval harness development.
•Collaborate with the model infrastructure team to build low-latency agent execution infrastructure (e.g., caching, parallel tool calls, subagent patterns).
•Improve observability and instrumentation to profile agent behavior and identify optimization opportunities.
•Stay current on agentic systems developments and apply learnings to product work.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 193,400 - 290,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5-8 years (post-BS/MS) of software engineering experience.
•Proficiency in Python and experience working with LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
•Comfortable using evaluations to drive quality and task completion.

•Passion for building effective domain-specific agents, with an iterative mindset to ship quickly.
