Job Summary

Lead the architecture, design, development, and optimization of software and firmware solutions for peripheral and connected device products. Define scalable system architectures across embedded firmware, device communications, software services, and APIs/SDKs, and deliver device management, diagnostics, monitoring, connectivity, and firmware update capabilities. Partner cross-functionally to drive engineering decisions, resolve complex system issues with root-cause analysis, maintain technical documentation, and mentor engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the architecture, design, and development of software and firmware solutions for peripheral and connected device platforms.
•Define scalable system architectures spanning embedded firmware, device communications, software services, APIs/SDKs, and applications.
•Develop and integrate device management, diagnostics, monitoring, connectivity, and firmware update capabilities across hardware and software ecosystems.
•Drive technical planning, architecture reviews, and engineering decisions to ensure performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
•Resolve complex system issues using root-cause analysis, create/maintain technical documentation, and mentor engineers with technical leadership.

Key Requirements

•Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
•Typically 10+ years of experience in embedded systems, firmware development, system software development, or device management platforms.
•Experience developing and delivering commercially released software and firmware products.
•Experience in cross-functional product development involving hardware, firmware, software, and validation teams.
•Strong knowledge of software/firmware development and system-level architecture, including API/SDK design and debugging/root-cause analysis.
