Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the full storytelling process from pitch and research through report, write, shoot, edit, produce, and publish original stories.
  • •Report daily general assignment, breaking news, and enterprise stories across broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
  • •Develop and pitch original story ideas, build trusted sources, and use public records and research to verify information and add context.
  • •Execute breaking news coverage with live reports and unscripted cut-ins, adapting reporting priorities as information evolves.
  • •Create and adapt journalism for multiple platforms, and collaborate proactively with producers, the assignment desk, digital teams, and newsroom leadership.

Key Requirements

  • •Fluency in Spanish and English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • •BS/BA in Journalism/Communications.
  • •Minimum 2 years of experience as a reporter in a top 50 market.
  • •Minimum 1 year of experience shooting with HD Cam, and minimum 1 year of experience working with film or video lighting.
  • •Working knowledge of I-news, Stratus, Avid, Edius, or Final Cut Pro.
