Job Summary

Deliver and install John Lewis products in customers’ homes as part of a two-person crew driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle, starting each route from the Crossways Customer Delivery Hub. Coach and develop other delivery drivers on installations and customer service, handle unexpected situations professionally, and demonstrate product use after installation. Maintain a safe working environment while completing loading, installation, and customer-facing service.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Start at the delivery hub and head out on a route to deliver and install products in customers’ homes.
•Coach, develop and assess delivery drivers, sharing knowledge on home installations and general customer service.
•Help load the lorry with the day’s deliveries alongside the warehouse team.
•Demonstrate respect and courtesy in customers’ homes and handle unexpected situations to find solutions.
•Install products efficiently and demonstrate how they work once installed while maintaining a safe working environment.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 34,500 - 46,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Previous experience of installation (installer accreditation will be provided to top up knowledge).
•Manual C1 UK driving licence (maximum of 6 points).
•DCPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) or Drivers Qualification Card by the first day, plus a Tachograph Card.
•Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
•Previous experience in a customer-facing role with great verbal communication skills.
