Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide on-site supervision of the directional drilling process and project well paths to predetermined target coordinates.
  • •Select and verify Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) build details (make-up torque, doping, and handling) and ensure planned DD performance.
  • •Perform survey calculations and well path projections, and update well profile plots with accurate directional survey data for the client representative.
  • •Assist with completion of daily DD reporting, BHA performance reports, service tickets, and well-site paperwork (well data spreadsheet, lesson learned/best practice, EJCS, KPI forms).
  • •Inspect and coordinate compatibility of DD company equipment at the work site, maintain equipment records, and manage equipment layout and backload in line with company procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of field experience in Directional Drilling, L/MWD, or SDL.
  • •Proficiency with DD computer software to assist with advice and analysis to the client representative at the well site.
  • •Ability to complete survey calculations and well path projections.
  • •Experience updating well profile plots and providing accurate directional survey data.
  • •Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.
