Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform access control operations at TVA facilities.
  • •Process and screen visitors using X-ray machines and metal detection equipment (WTMD/HHMD).
  • •Conduct vehicular and foot security patrols, traffic control/direction, and alarm monitoring/response.
  • •Safeguard keys, operate security/safety systems, and monitor compliance and conduct oversight.
  • •Complete reports and maintain records; respond to injuries/illness and manage civil disturbances/emergency situations until qualified personnel arrive.

Key Requirements

  • •Meet at least one qualification: 3 years of security experience (past 5 years), or 3 years of military/National Guard service, or an associate degree or higher in a security/law enforcement field, or completion of a police basic training academy, or equivalent approved experience/education.
  • •Fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
  • •Successfully pass background screening, psychological evaluation, and drug testing, and complete all required initial training.
  • •Meet all TVA suitability criteria prior to assignment and comply with TVA Personnel Security policies and procedures.
  • •Maintain documentation showing compliance with TVA Personnel Security requirements and USCIS regulations; temporary foreign workers with non-immigrant visas may not be assigned unless explicitly authorized by TVA.
