  • •Conduct hands-on lab work: define data acquisition strategy, execute data analysis plans, and recommend corrective actions/fixes.
  • •Develop failure analysis techniques, benchmarks, and approaches to accelerate failure identification and mechanism understanding.
  • •Interface with internal teams and external suppliers; provide consultation on packaging/assembly problems and respond to customer requests as they occur.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemistry and Physics (or related).
  • •Prior experience working in a lab environment.
  • •Experience with destructive and optical analysis techniques such as manual cross-sectioning/delayering and microscopy/SEM/x-ray methods.
  • •Experience performing electrical fault isolation and failure analysis using tools such as hand probe, curve trace, auto probing, TDR, EOTPR, EBAC, RIDR, and/or ELITE.
  • •Experience with chemical compositional analysis (e.g., EDX) and diffraction techniques (e.g., XRD, EBSD), plus ability to communicate findings via reports and presentations.
