Job Summary

Own the electrical architecture for space-bound imaging payloads on the Anduril Imaging team, taking designs from concept through flight. Drive build-versus-buy and COTS-versus-rad-hard tradeoffs, lead PCBAs spanning analog/digital/mixed-signal/power electronics, and translate sensor performance models into electrical requirements. Run rapid prototype-to-bench bring-up and qualification cycles for space environmental testing, while mentoring engineers and serving as the electronics design anchor.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the electrical architecture for imaging payloads, including system partitioning and power, sensor, data, and interface electronics tradeoffs for a sub-12-month path to orbit.
•Lead the design, layout, bring-up, and qualification of PCBAs for EO/IR sensor systems spanning analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics.
•Translate sensor and system performance models into electrical requirements and challenge requirements that don’t belong on the critical path.
•Drive rapid design-build-test cycles from bench characterization to flight-ready convergence.
•Design for the space environment and own analysis/testing (TVAC, vibe, EMI/EMC) to prove performance and qualification.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 126,000 - 167,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of electrical engineering experience across system-level architecture, electronics design, and hands-on test, owning designs end to end.
•Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
•Demonstrated ownership of electronics architecture for complex electromechanical or sensor systems, including tradeoff decisions.
•Strong analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design experience, with deep schematic capture and PCB layout proficiency.
•Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
