Lead the technical direction for static and product reference data, aligning architecture and data strategy across engineering teams. Key Responsibilities

•Define and evolve the technical direction for static and product reference data aligned to data strategy and target architecture.
•Set and govern engineering principles for reference data services including modelling, versioning, lineage, interoperability, and backwards compatibility.
•Drive AI-enabled engineering practices to improve quality, developer productivity, and time-to-market.
•Lead modernisation and technical debt reduction to simplify platforms and reduce operational risk.
•Run cross-team design reviews, provide hands-on guidance on complex decisions, and establish “golden paths” such as templates and reusable components.

Key Requirements

•Strong hands-on engineering background with the ability to communicate effectively with different levels in the organisation.
•Data engineering and data platform experience at enterprise scale (batch and/or streaming), focused on reliability and operability.
•Proven ability to set and drive adoption of engineering standards such as CI/CD, testing, documentation, and operational readiness.
•Strong understanding of data quality, lineage/metadata concepts, and building trusted datasets and services.
•Experience operating in regulated environments with audit and control requirements.
