Key Responsibilities

  • •Plans daily tasks in their area of work
  • •Maintains good housekeeping in the workshop and other work areas and takes proper care of tools
  • •Assists in diagnosing and repairing faults/defects on equipment/vehicles and plant under breakdown to minimize downtime
  • •Records all work-related activities during the shift in the log book/work order to help planning staff log details in the Maintenance Management System
  • •Ensures standard safety procedures are followed during maintenance activities to prevent accidents or damage

Key Requirements

  • •2 years Trade certificate course in an engineering
  • •Experience in maintenance - Facilities/ Auto/ Electric/ Civil Mechanic within a large maintenance organization, ideally aviation ground support and/or Cargo Handling Industry
  • •Knowledge of mechanical/electrical/electronic/automobile/air-con & refrigeration systems of Light Vehicles or Material Handling Equipment/Systems. Experience in maintenance of Ground Support Equipment or Heavy Vehicles or would be an advantage.
  • •Any specialized training on hydraulics/lifting equipment/conveyor systems/material handling equipment/PLC's/AC-DC motor control systems/Traction batteries & chargers would be an advantage.
  • •Proven ability to communicate in English (verbal & written).
