Own and evolve high-scale backend and data-layer services for Platform Core, including foundational systems like IAM, interaction services, data lake, reporting, and admin services. Design, build, test, and operate distributed APIs supporting high-volume customer interactions, taking end-to-end ownership from ambiguous problem framing through production support. Improve reliability, scalability, latency, and cost, partner with Product and SRE, and contribute to on-call incident response and engineering standards.

•Drive end-to-end platform ownership from problem framing and technical planning through implementation, rollout, and production support.
•Improve reliability, scalability, latency, and cost across shared platform systems used across the business.
•Partner with Product, SRE, and peer engineering teams to deliver platform improvements without destabilizing live traffic.
•Participate in on-call, incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of alerting, runbooks, deployment quality, and capacity planning.

Salary: USD 130,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5-7+ years building backend services and APIs in production (or equivalent practical depth).

•Proven production ownership, including deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, and participating in on-call for high-scale services.
•Strong data and messaging experience with PostgreSQL or Aurora, Redis, and RabbitMQ, with the ability to reason about reliability, performance, and scale tradeoffs.
