Job Summary

Create detailed bridge-related CADD deliverables for Texas transportation and infrastructure projects, working closely with the Austin Bridge Team under minimal supervision. Use tools like Bentley OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, and ProjectWise to produce plans, profiles, sections, 3D models, and quantities that meet WSP and client quality standards. Support technical detailing efforts with increasing complexity, assist with CADD troubleshooting, and follow QA and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and sketches for bridges, retaining walls, and miscellaneous structures using computer-aided design software.
•Develop increasing-complexity technical CADD details and generate design-phase deliverables such as plans, profiles, sections, 3D models, and quantities.
•Produce report/presentation graphics and engineering contract documents using assigned tools and software.
•Support a multi-discipline team by executing tasks and developing contract documents.
•Assist office staff with CADD software use and troubleshooting while adhering to WSP QA policies and client standards.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma.
•5+ years of experience creating bridge CADD deliverables.
•Experience with Bentley OpenBridge Modeler (OBM), OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and digital delivery.
•Experience with TxDOT Bridge Detailing Guide/Bridge Standards and bridge detailing/design support practices.
•Ability to work with minimal verbal direction, manage multiple tasks, and follow supervisor/engineer instructions.
