Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage litigation matters and pre-litigation disputes across all phases, developing case strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • •Counsel on IP (including copyright), privacy, commercial, and regulatory disputes in first- and third-party contexts.
  • •Evaluate and respond to litigation threats, demands, and disputes across jurisdictions with appropriate resolution proposals.
  • •Select, onboard, manage, and collaborate with outside counsel, negotiating budgets/fees and monitoring performance.
  • •Partner with AI, product, and engineering teams to identify litigation risks, support active matters, and translate legal requirements into actionable guidance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 275,000 - 375,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •JD and in good standing with an active US state bar membership (California preferred).
  • •15+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience handling complex commercial litigation (experience with emerging technology companies preferred).
  • •Deep substantive knowledge of litigation practice and procedure with demonstrated strong outcomes and case execution.
  • •Exceptional analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills with strong business acumen and ability to partner with business and technical teams.
  • •Ability to work independently with limited guidance and communicate clearly with business and technical audiences.
