Key Responsibilities

  • •Under direction of leader/supervisor, follow assembly drawings and/or specifications and computer information systems to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules and accessories for new gas turbine engines where tooling and process methods are established.
  • •Perform similar duties assisting with engine test operations and performing component and accessory tests as assigned.
  • •Use overhaul and repair procedures and specifications to perform the mechanical work to overhaul engines, modules and related components.
  • •Obtain parts, check details for conformance to assembly requirements and fit and measure components to assure overall dimensions are within limits specified.
  • •Use mechanic’s hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and perform installation of details and maintain equipment and tooling for assigned areas.
