Job Summary

Systems Engineer focused on pre-sales for Fortinet in Southern Germany. Key Responsibilities

•Understand the Fortinet portfolio and demonstrate technical and business value to customers.
•Maintain strong knowledge of security and networking technologies, focusing on FortiOS-based products.
•Be SME and first contact for a technical domain; manage use cases, competitive intelligence, and differentiators; handle third-party integrations.
•Create sales opportunities by identifying customer problems and qualifying leads from a technical perspective; identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
•Lead all aspects of technical sales engagements (demos, RfIs, PoCs) and provide architecture and implementation design guidance.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pre-sales support with proven success.
•Expert level knowledge in networking (LAN, WIFI, WAN, SDN, routing, switching), and network security (Next-Gen Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, encryption protocols).
•Strong customer focus with the ability to address complex technical and business requirements; self-motivated and goal-driven.
•Knowledge of domains such as datacentre architectures, security architectures, modern software architectures, cloud architectures, and IT security standards is a plus.
•Deep experience in installation and configuration of network devices, systems (UNIX/Linux, Windows-based, virtualized and containers), public clouds, and scripting (Ansible, Terraform, Python) with API knowledge.
