Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform field testing including compaction testing, concrete testing, soil sampling, and materials verification.
  • •Collect accurate geotechnical data to support design, construction monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
  • •Assist senior technicians and engineers with site investigations, drill rig support, and borehole logging.
  • •Apply geotechnical testing standards and quality procedures to ensure reliable, defensible data.
  • •Prepare organized field notes, documentation, and daily testing summaries, and support WSP safety programs.

Key Requirements

  • •Co-op, internship, or early career experience in construction materials testing, field inspection, or geotechnical environments.
  • •A college technical diploma or university degree in civil, construction, geotechnical, environmental, or related disciplines (asset).
  • •Curiosity and willingness to learn geotechnical testing methods and industry standards.
  • •Comfort working outdoors in varying weather and traveling to field sites.
  • •Valid driver’s licence and ability to meet safety requirements with proactive hazard awareness.
