Key Responsibilities

  • •Use laptops/tablets to create, assign, and monitor work orders; track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues using data.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs for power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and complete repairs.
  • •Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites individually or with other technicians; assist with picking up/delivering equipment and parts.
  • •Maintain complete and timely paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed and assist with training lower-level technicians as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Ability to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and read schematics.
  • •Ability to provide superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication.
  • •EPA 608 certification is preferred; if not held, obtain within 6-12 months of employment.
