Key Responsibilities

  • •Evolve and implement the Strategic Energy Management Plan for Canadian Solid Wood Operations and Canfor.
  • •Coordinate facility energy audits and benchmarking, and track/report energy usage for monthly KPI reports.
  • •Scope, track, and support CAPEX projects tied to energy cost-saving and conservation initiatives.
  • •Set achievable targets for energy management programs and ensure BC Hydro performance contract deliverables are met.
  • •Liaise with BC Hydro and FortisBC on programs and incentives; represent Canfor at industry group meetings and support annual sustainability/roadmaps and GHG reporting.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 90,300 - 129,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Registered professional Engineer (P.Eng) or EIT with relevant experience, Certified Energy Manager, or a Master’s degree, or a combination of training (electrician, power engineer, mechanical technologist).
  • •Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience.
  • •Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
  • •Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and report writing skills.
  • •Project management experience.
