Key Responsibilities

•Perform electrical engineering design for assigned renewable projects under guidance of senior staff.
•Develop PV and BESS system designs, including array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections.
•Create solar PV and BESS energy production modeling, specifications, and electrical engineering calculations (e.g., conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, voltage drop, conduit sizing).
•Support construction drawing development (e.g., one-lines, network diagrams), along with PV and BESS cost estimation and payback evaluations.
•Support full project lifecycle activities from feasibility through commissioning and participate in meetings with occasional travel.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline plus 4 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
•Demonstrated experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
•Current professional engineering license (PE) and ability to attain additional states by comity.
•Proficiency with industry software such as Homer, NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope.
•Knowledge of NEC and related codes such as IBC and NFPA 855.
