Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform electrical engineering design for assigned renewable projects under guidance of senior staff.
  • •Develop PV and BESS system designs, including array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections.
  • •Create solar PV and BESS energy production modeling, specifications, and electrical engineering calculations (e.g., conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, voltage drop, conduit sizing).
  • •Support construction drawing development (e.g., one-lines, network diagrams), along with PV and BESS cost estimation and payback evaluations.
  • •Support full project lifecycle activities from feasibility through commissioning and participate in meetings with occasional travel.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline plus 4 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
  • •Current professional engineering license (PE) and ability to attain additional states by comity.
  • •Proficiency with industry software such as Homer, NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope.
  • •Knowledge of NEC and related codes such as IBC and NFPA 855.
