Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the end-to-end conceptual design process for complex UAV and missile platforms, including configuration trade studies and mission analysis.
  • •Define and mature aircraft sizing methodologies using parametric modeling and design optimization tools to establish robust design paths.
  • •Direct OML/IML development and establish geometric standards for downstream CFD, FEA, and CEM analysis.
  • •Make early-stage technical decisions by shaping concept white papers, customer proposals, and technology roadmaps with Chief Engineers.
  • •Mentor junior configuration/design engineers and mentor CAD modeling and GD&T standards; interface with IPTs, suppliers, and customers to resolve design problems.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or related technical field).
  • •8+ years in conceptual or preliminary design of aerospace systems with technical leadership on UAS, military aircraft, or advanced missile programs.
  • •Expert 3D parametric CAD modeling and advanced surfacing/lofting (Siemens NX preferred; CATIA or Creo).
  • •Extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams and architecture trade studies across aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, mass properties, and systems integration.
  • •Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
