Job Summary

Safeguard the structural integrity, safety, and buildability of a new Tashkent airport. You will review and approve EPC-delivered structural design packages (calculations, analysis models, and detailing), ensure Uzbek code and international seismic compliance, and oversee geotechnical and foundation coordination. Lead multidisciplinary interface resolution with architecture, MEP, and airport systems teams, support SPV design governance, and uphold construction quality, safety, and whole-life standards through design and build.

Key Responsibilities

•Review structural design packages, calculations, analysis models, and detailing for compliance with Employer requirements, Uzbek building codes, and international standards.
•Ensure structural designs account for local seismic conditions and geotechnical characteristics; maintain oversight of geotechnical investigations and foundation design.
•Coordinate structural design interfaces with architecture, MEP, baggage handling, and airport-systems disciplines; resolve structural clashes early to protect programme and cost.
•Review structural methodology, temporary works, and construction sequencing for buildability, safety, and programme feasibility; oversee structural QA during construction.
•Support SPV design governance by reviewing EPC and specialist contractor structural deliverables and providing technical recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
•Minimum 12–15 years in structural engineering design and review, ideally on major aviation, transport, or landmark public infrastructure projects.
•Proven experience reviewing and approving EPC structural design packages on large, multi-stakeholder infrastructure projects.
•Experience with seismic design, geotechnical coordination, and structural interfacing with architecture, MEP, and specialist airport systems.
•Chartered/Professional Engineer status (e.g., ICE, IStructE or equivalent) is an advantage.
