Job Summary

Provide electrical and instrumentation support for Plains midstream assets by installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing field equipment and systems. Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on control devices, control loops, switchgear, transformers, generators, meters, custody transfer equipment, and cathodic protection. Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs, assist with spill response, and support the preventive maintenance (PM) program and construction/turnaround activities at terminals and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform electrical and instrumentation installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair with minimal supervision.
•Conduct instrumentation and preventive maintenance on compressors, control devices, control loops, control valves/regulators, and related systems using vendor manuals.
•Maintain calibration equipment and resolve abnormal conditions, including safety and process monitoring systems.
•Perform preventive maintenance on switchgear, transformers, AC/DC generators, meters, custody transfer equipment, rail dock terminal measurement systems, cathodic protection, and pumps.
•Respond to breakdowns and emergency equipment failures, assist with spill response, and support PM and construction/turnaround activities.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Preferably completed 2nd or 3rd year of a related trades apprenticeship program.
•Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience at the prior level.
•Ability to read and comprehend electrical drawings, pipeline maps, technical schematics, and operational manuals, and perform load studies/calculations.
•Experience/training with high voltage electrical systems and safety, including substation and switchgear work.
