Job Summary

Provide technical support to the Government of Uzbekistan through WHO’s health systems strengthening work, focusing on primary health care, health workforce and service delivery, and health financing. Support day-to-day implementation, monitor developments in Uzbekistan’s health policy process, and help identify gaps and enabling factors. Contribute to drafting technical documents, policy briefs, mission and meeting materials, and track follow-up actions with national stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Support overall day-to-day implementation of health systems work at the WHO Uzbekistan country office and monitor developments in Uzbekistan’s health policy process.
•Collect, review, synthesize information and contribute to identifying gaps and enabling factors related to health systems strengthening reforms.
•Assist in reviewing national policies, strategies, decrees, reform roadmaps, implementation plans, and technical documents relevant to health system reform.
•Support preparations for training, policy dialogues, consultations, technical meetings, study visits, and expert missions, including drafting agendas, concept notes, and briefings.
•Draft and contribute to technical reports, mission reports, meeting summaries, policy briefs, donor reporting inputs, and track follow-up actions from meetings and missions.

Key Requirements

•University degree in Public Health, Medicine, Health Policy, Health Systems, Development Studies, International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science or a related field.
•At least five years of relevant professional experience in public health, health systems strengthening, health policy or a related area.
•Experience supporting coordination and implementation of projects and programs in public health.
•Experience reviewing and preparing technical documents on health systems or related issues.
•Fluency in Uzbek and English; good knowledge of Russian is desirable.
