Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical, electronic, and automation systems onboard the dredger.
  • •Ensure continuous availability and reliability of critical dredging equipment, including cutter heads, dredge pumps, winches, and propulsion control systems.
  • •Manage high-voltage systems, PLCs, SCADA, and power distribution networks in compliance with safety and class requirements.
  • •Supervise and guide junior electrical staff and ensure planned maintenance systems (PMS) are effectively implemented.
  • •Perform advanced fault diagnosis and rectification to minimize operational downtime, and coordinate with the Chief Engineer and Master to support dredging operations and timelines.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in electrical & Electronics.
  • •STCW certification & ETO license.
  • •5-10 years experience on a dredger.
  • •Experience on cutter suction dredgers (CSD) or trailing suction hopper dredgers (TSHD).
  • •Knowledge of safety, class requirements, and international maritime regulations for onboard electrical systems.
