Job Summary

Design and implement composite aircraft manufacturing processes for prototype and production environments. Partner with technicians and engineers to develop production line designs, MBOMs, work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements. Optimize work cells and tooling, solve schedule-driven manufacturing issues, and drive RCCAs with quality to remove blockers. Coordinate with program managers on critical decision points as products move from LRIP to FRP.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with technicians and engineers to build production line designs for composite parts and assemblies.
•Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, MBOMs, quality plans, inspection requirements, and non-conformances.
•Serve as a conduit between engineering technical data packages and technicians to ensure hardware and tooling match designs.
•Solve manufacturing problems in a schedule-driven environment while meeting quality requirements.
•Develop novel manufacturing processes and drive RCCAs with the quality team to eliminate production blockers and recurring issues.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 113,000 - 149,000

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technology related field.
•8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T.
•Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX preferred).
•Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
