Job Summary

Design and implement core components of Arista’s Extensible Operating System (EOS) for data center switches. You’ll write specifications, develop Linux-based drivers and APIs, build and maintain automated test programs, and debug issues found in testing and by customers. Working across EOS features, you’ll collaborate with engineers and customer support to deliver reliable software releases and mentor junior engineers.

•Independently implement solutions for issues across EOS and related software using C, C++, and Python.

•Work with customers and Customer Support Engineers to analyze installation problems and deliver fixes via releases or patches.
•Mentor new and junior engineers and review/contribute to specifications and implementations written by others.

•Experience writing Linux drivers and APIs to manage hardware devices or other software resources.
•Strong problem solving with the ability to design and implement solutions independently for smaller problems.
