Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop tooling and services for the database platform using languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Rust.
  • •Identify opportunities to migrate manual tasks to semi- or full automation.
  • •Investigate complex performance bottlenecks across kernel, network, or database layers using metrics, traces, and logs.
  • •Build developer experience tooling that abstracts complexity for internal product teams so they can focus on business logic.
  • •Participate in the on-call rotation to address incidents and reduce operational toil.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep understanding of Linux (networking, file systems, kernel tuning) and distributed systems principles.
  • •Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, writing clean, testable, maintainable code for infrastructure automation and internal tools.
  • •Ability to understand operational challenges of running PostgreSQL (or similar) databases at scale.
  • •Proactive problem solving with root-cause analysis and a preference for permanent fixes over temporary patches.
  • •Collaboration skills to communicate complex infrastructure concepts and work closely with Compute, Networking, and Storage teams.
