Key Responsibilities

  • •Own Developer Relations for the Databricks Data + AI Platform end-to-end by setting strategy, defining success metrics, and delivering outcomes
  • •Hire, level, and grow a team of Developer Advocates with ownership of their careers and performance
  • •Establish repeatable advocacy approaches (content flywheels, demo standards, event playbooks) that the broader DevRel organization can adopt
  • •Represent the practitioner community inside R&D at the product-area level, turning community friction into documented, prioritized roadmap changes
  • •Deliver high-quality educational and community content through talks, panels, meetups, blogs, video, courseware, forums, and direct 1:1 engagement

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of combined experience in developer relations/developer advocacy and a hands-on technical role (e.g., software engineer, data engineer, solutions architect)
  • •2+ years managing and growing a developer relations team, including hiring, leveling, and promoting advocates
  • •Experience delivering DevRel strategy for a product area and not just running a content calendar
  • •Strong subject matter knowledge of solving data engineering, data science, and data analytics problems at scale, including how business users consume results
  • •Comprehensive understanding of the Databricks Data + AI Platform and ecosystem (e.g., Lakeflow, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Lakehouse, AI/BI dashboards, Genie, Databricks Apps)
