Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently perform moderately complex electrical CAD/BIM work to interpret engineering markups and create/maintain complete electrical design sets.
  • •Develop and manage 3D models for electrical systems, including substation equipment layouts, conduit routing, and cable tray systems.
  • •Produce accurate electrical construction drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, diagrams, and schematics) using AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Revit.
  • •Revise drawings efficiently based on engineering feedback, RFIs, change orders, and construction site markups, ensuring drafting/BIM standards compliance.
  • •Maintain version control and perform self/peer health checks; provide training and technical support to other design staff on BIM standards and systems.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Engineering or related field plus 4 years of related experience (or equivalent).
  • •Experience in high voltage electrical CAD/BIM design.
  • •Understanding and experience with electrical Revit design and principles, including Revit 3D modeling for substation design.
  • •Experience producing and managing BIM execution planning/model matrix and BIM standards/compliance for drawings and models.
  • •Knowledge of applicable codes and best practices, including NEC and IEEE.
