Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems (including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and HVAC).
  • •Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document repair work and complete DOT forms/repair orders using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application, including uploading photos and findings.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
  • •Hold a valid driver’s license; Class C driver’s license is required; candidate must be at least 21 years old.
