Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment.
  • •Lead and coordinate Red Hat installation and configuration.
  • •Support engineering software installation and support with emphasis on testing, documentation, and acceptance phases.
  • •Provision, install/configure, operate, and maintain Linux/Windows infrastructure for classified programs, including server management, storage management, authentication/access, backup/restore, and workstation support.
  • •Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation; participate in technical meetings and mentor junior Linux admins.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years experience.
  • •Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date, and U.S. citizenship is required.
  • •Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows environments, including prior systems administration experience.
  • •Experience with Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, and NetBackup (and related backup and recovery enterprise suites).
  • •Must be able to obtain DoD 8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
