Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct ecological surveys and vegetation assessments applying the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM)
  • •Contribute to the planning of projects, including meeting deadlines and budgets
  • •Build strong relationships with colleagues and clients; actively participate in developing project scopes and proposals
  • •Assess data and prepare ecological assessment reports, native vegetation data reports, etc.
  • •Commit to ongoing professional development including membership of scientific organisations and attendance at workshops/conferences

Key Requirements

  • •Environmental or Natural Science discipline (ecology, botany, biology or similar)
  • •Field experience including flora/fauna surveys and ecological monitoring
  • •BAM Accreditation would be highly regarded
  • •Knowledge of biodiversity legislation and policy (e.g., EPBC Act, Biodiversity Conservation Act)
  • •Experience with field survey design, data collection, GIS/mapping, and spatial datasets
