Job Summary

Own data strategy and the “grey area” between business analysis and relational database/Power BI solutions. Curate and document data sources, flows, and consumption, maintain data catalogs, and advise business and IT teams on dataset value and availability. Manage EDW developers and guide transformation, packaging, and delivery of analytics-ready data solutions in Azure and SQL Server, using Agile methods while supporting reporting needs and data quality stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

•Curate, document, and integrate knowledge about critical business data sources, flows, and consumption.
•Advise and liaise with business and IT teams on source, availability, and value of data sets.
•Manage EDW developers to transform, package, and deliver data to the business community.
•Work with business to identify reporting/data analysis needs and promote regional/global reuse or adoption of existing solutions.
•Design and facilitate data solution development in the Azure and SQL Server ecosystems, overseeing Agile activities like sprints and standups.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•BS/BA degree plus 8-10 years’ experience.
•3+ years managing people.
•Experience with relational database and reporting services and teams in a corporate environment.
•Some strategic and technical expertise of relational database systems and at least one end user reporting platform (Power BI, Cognos, Noetix, etc.).
•Comfortable reviewing and interpreting TSQL, relational database table structures, views, and stored procedures.
